AGA Teasmade

For this project, I had to create a Teasmade with significant AGA styling. I began by conducting primary research by visiting a store that sold AGA stoves and I studied its design characteristics and features. From this research, I knew what features and colour scheme my design had to have in order to keep within the AGA brand. This then progressed onto some initial ideas where I chose one to develop further. This development was predominantly on paper through orthographic and isometric sketches, but I also utilised blue foam modelling to see different designs in a 3D form.

After a final design was achieved on paper, I moved into Solidworks. I utilised surface modelling to create the upright support, this allowed me to alter the parameters and view different shapes and forms. The other elements were added along with details like small AGA logos and small grips on the lid which allow easy use. I tried to make this product feel up to date by adding a small digital touchscreen which is used to control and input settings. Once the Solidworks model was complete, it was exported into Keyshot and a number of graphical and presentation images were produced. This was a project which allowed me to be creative as it was purely visual, not needing to worry about any mechanical elements.
